go to site If you don’t know Tartarus, they publish beautifully bound books in the specualtive fiction genre. (Angela Slatter’s short story collection, Sourdough, is also on their list). Get your hands on a hard copy of Rupetta if you can.
There have been some changes in the Wood, not least a holiday period without rain. It’s the driest summer so far, with some of the Wood’s inhabitants somewhat worse for wear, and everything tending to brown – a colour we are unfamilar with up here!
Tourist operators and beach-goers are happy though, after a string of disaster-sodden summers, which is a plus. And there is much less mowing to do.
