The winner of the 2014 Olvar Wood free year-long mentorship is Sue Pearson, of Currumbin, with her draft manuscript, The Crying Tree.
We received many strong entries, and a lovely diverse selection, but Sue’s engaging voice, and evocation of place, appealed the most.
Sue is not a complete stranger to us, being a previous winner of the Perilous Adventures short story competition. I’m very much looking forward to working with Sue on her manuscript over the course of next year.
Thank you to all who entered, and all the best with your writing lives during 2014.
