The residence at Olvar Wood Writers Retreat is an architect-designed building with a range of luxury features, including an atrium, large decks with extensive views of the grounds, bushland and Blackall Range. The residence comfortably accommodates small to medium groups with plenty of room to gather together, and enough space to find privacy. There are large indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen, and laundry.
The light-filled lounge area is luxuriously-appointed, with french doors leading out onto the decks. There is an extensive reference and reading llibrary, a fireplace, and a sound system with a range of music available onsite.
The dining room features a handmade Jimmy Possum recycled-timber table that can comfortably seat up to 12 people.
Guests have access to wireless internet throughout the building and in most of the garden and there is a fully-equipped office onsite.
The Rooms
There are four rooms available at Olvar. Each is decorated in its own unique style, with luxurious linen, organic cotton sheets, quality mattresses, pillows and pure wool quilts. There is, of course, a writing desk and a dictionary in every room.

Breakfast is self-service. We provide a fully-stocked kitchen, with coffee, tea, bread, eggs, milk, fruit, cereal. If you have any particular dietary requirements, please indicate these on your booking form.
The kitchen is fully-equipped for you to cook your own lunch and dinner (for non-catered meals).
The larder at Olvar Wood Writers Retreat is kept stocked with the essentials. We provide a grocery service, for a small fee, if required.
Getting There
You can come to Olvar by train, and be picked up from the picture-perfect Eudlo station, or take the one-hour drive from Brisbane. If you're flying in, you can arrive at Brisbane or Maroochydore airports, and we can help you organise airport transfers direct to our door. We will provide you with more specific directions when you book in.
